Sonic Acts Biennial 2024: The Listening Room

The Listening Room is a sound exhibition that enables us to hear soundworks as they were intended to be presented. On the impressive, 8.2-channel sound system, a series of newly commissioned pieces by Sonic Acts will be played out together with cornerstone productions by Ina GRM – the seminal musical research studio and venue from Paris. Works by composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Beatriz Ferreyra, Luc Ferrari, and Flora Yin Wong, will be presented alongside new compositions by Anna Khvyl, Atte Elias Kantonen, Geneva Skeen, KMRU, Mint Park, Felicity Mangan, and soundworks unearthed from Sonic Acts’ 30-year-long history from Annea Lockwood, Hildegard Westerkamp, Jana Winderen, BJ Nilsen, and others.
