De jonge, in Los Angeles geboren singer-songwriter shey baba maakt melancholische elektronische pop waarin hij bezwerende melodieën perfect paart met zijn hoge zangstem, geïnspireerd door artiesten als Bob Moses, James Blake en Howling. shey baba is geen dertien-in-een-dozijn muzikant, maar eerder een levend kunstwerk. Zo is iedere videoclip die hij uitbrengt een korte arthousefilm waarin hij zelf de hoofdrol speelt en zijn zowel zijn Instagram-account als zijn outfits altijd perfect gestyled en op elkaar afgestemd. Je kon shey baba al twee keer eerder in de grote zaal van Paradiso bewonderen, zo verzorgde hij het voorprogramma van Susanne Sundfør in 2018 en Bob Moses in 2019. Later dit jaar komt hij terug voor een eerste, eigen concert in Nederland in Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
