Say She She is een New Yorkse discopop- en soulformatie die met hun naam een knipoog geven naar Nile Rodgers en de groep CHIC (C’est chi-chi!”, it’s Chic!). Het trio ontroert met dromerige harmonieën, pakkende hooks en opzwepende grooves. Hun sound roept de gloriedagen van de jaren ’70 op en combineert moeiteloos psychedelische soul, funk en girl group-vocalen. Say She She bestaat uit Piya Malik (voorheen El Michels Affair), Nya Gazelle Brown en Sabrina Mileo Cunningham, die samen een onweerstaanbare mix van nostalgie en modern activisme brengen. Hun muziek is doordrenkt met feministische thema’s en politieke statements, verpakt in dansbare en kleurrijke arrangementen. Met hun liveshows vol loepzuivere samenzang bouwden ze snel een trouwe fanbase op, zowel in de VS als daarbuiten.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
