Michael Owusu Addo, beter bekend als Sarkodie, is een Ghanese rapicoon. Al ruim tien jaar behoort hij tot de top. Zijn sound is een bruisende mix van hiphop, Afrobeats en hiplife –  een hybride genre dat hiphop combineert met de highlife-klanken uit zijn thuisland.
Sarkodie vind zijn inspiratie in rappers zoals Ja Rule, Tupac, Notorious BIG, 50 Cent, Nelly. Rappers die volop werden gedraaid in Ghana.
Naast de miljoenen verkochte albums en tientallen awards, heeft Sarkodie’s sound geleid tot uitverkochte shows wereldwijd.

How to get to Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant THT serves an extensive menu for any music lover – making a reservation is recommended.
