Sampa the Great is een singer-songwriter, poëet en beeldend kunstenares die als streeft positieve verandering. Haar maatschappijkritische nummers bestaan uit hiphop producties, Afrikaanse invloeden, spirituele neo-soul en scherpzinnige teksten. Ze werd geboren in Zambia, groeide op in Botswana en werd op jonge leeftijd al verliefd op hiphop. Nadat ze in haar tienerjaren verhuisde naar Australië, nestelde ze zich in de hiphopscene van Sydney. Haar fanbase groeit nog altijd in een aardig tempo door en tegenwoordig deelt de 25-jarige Sampa het podium met artiesten zoals o.a. Hiatus Kaiyote, Kendrick Lamar,Ibeyi en Little Simz.
