Samora Pinderhughes is een Amerikaanse pianist, componist en activist die bekend staat om zijn unieke muzikale stijl en maatschappelijk engagement. Zijn muziek is lastig in een hokje te plaatsen; het klinkt als een mix van indie, soul, jazz en alternatieve r&b en is doordrenkt van sociale en politieke thema's en dient als een vorm van protest en bewustwording. Hij heeft inmiddels twee langspelers op zijn naam staan: 'The Transformations Suite' uit 2016 en 'GRIEF' uit 2022. Ook werkte hij samen met legendes als Herbie Hancock en Lauryn Hill. Na zijn bijzondere concert op Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 2022 komt hij op 10 november 2023 terug naar Amsterdam voor een concert in Tolhuistuin.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
