De cultuur is essentieel in de house- en clubscene. Het is verworteld in de zwarte cultuur, LGBTQI+ community, underground clubs en vrijheid van expressie. Tijdens Rooted in Culture maak je kennis met de cultuur door middel van beweging, educatie en inspiratie. In dit programma geeft de Nederlandse Housedance community en Lynnee Denise je stof tot nadenken en ontspanning voor je lichaam.

Laat je inspireren door Housedancers Dro & Zev die hun roots hebben in de Nederlandse clubcultuur, terwijl Lynnee Denise je door de geschiedenis van house en disco muziek leidt met geluids- en videosamples. Na het gesprek met Lynnee Denise brengt de Housedance Community cultuur en vibes naar de dansvloer met twee DJ-collectieven: Chill on Tuesday & House the Vibe.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
