Terrence Thornton, ook wel bekend als Pusha T, genoot van zijn doorbaak in de vruchtbare hiphopscene van Virginia Beach. Eerst maakte hij indruk als helft van het rapduo Clipse, maar na jaren aan zijn teksten te slijpen zette hij zijn solocarrière op de kaart. Nadat hij met Clipse al een legendarische status had opgebouwd, tekende de rapper in 2010 bij Kanye West's label G.O.O.D. Music.

Hij bracht vervolgens zijn ingewikkelde woordspelingen en imposante persoonlijkheid naar zijn muziek, waaronder het veelgeprezen en Grammy-genomineerde project 'Daytona' uit 2018. Pusha's nieuwste album 'It's Almost Dry' is hier de opvolger van. Een album over zelfreflectie en tegenstrijdigheid, waarin welvaart als troostprijs wordt gebruikt voor een zwaar verleden en desondanks spijtgevoelens toch niet kunnen worden ontlopen.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
