De Canadese postpunkband Preoccupations is al dertien jaar bezig met het definiëren en herdefiniëren van hun geluid. Met een vijfde album genaamd 'Ill At Ease' op komst blijft de band zich vastbijten in duistere thematiek, van desolate landschappen tot teksten over existentiële angsten. Hun nieuwe werk beweegt zich tussen vervreemding en hoop, met een geluid dat even beklemmend als meeslepend is. Het is moeilijk te zeggen waar dit album precies in hun discografie past, maar het put zeker uit nieuwe invloeden en genres die ze in het verleden niet hebben verkend.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
