Portugal The Man is een experimenteel indie kwartet uit Wasilla, Alaska. De ruige omgeving van Alaska is van invloed op de muziek en artwork van Portugal The Man. De wortels liggen in indie en progressieve popmuziek en ook soul en blues komen terug. Maar het experiment in de muziek wordt ook niet geschuwd; verschillende lagen synthesizers en drumbeats. De hoge vocalen van zanger John Baldwin vormen het herkenningspunt.
