De Angolees-Portugese artiest Pongo wordt wereldwijd geprezen als de nieuwe stem van de kuduro. In haar krachtige en energieke sound vermengt ze traditionele Angolese ritmes met invloeden uit pop, dancehall en afrofunk. Al op jonge leeftijd vluchtte ze met haar familie naar Portugal, waar ze opgroeide in de bruisende muziekscene van Lissabon. Ze brak door met het explosieve Kalemba (Wegue Wegue) en ontwikkelde zich sindsdien tot een soloartiest met een geheel eigen stijl. Met nummers als 'Tambulaya', 'Kuzola' en 'Bruxos' laat Pongo horen hoe ze persoonlijke verhalen en sociaal bewustzijn weet te vertalen naar dansbare, genre-overstijgende nummers. Haar liveshows staan bekend om een aanstekelijke energie, ritmische intensiteit en visuele kracht.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
