Pom Poko is een vierkoppige avant-garde postpunkband uit Noorwegen. In 2017 tekenden zij bij het gevierde Bella Union nadat de band de oprichter ontmoette bij By:Larm. De band mixt bijna aandoenlijke, hoge vocals met catchy gitaar riffs. Hierdoor worden zij vaak vergeleken met bands als Le Tigre, Deerhoof en Duchess Says. Vanaf 15 januari is het nieuwe album 'Cheater' uit, welke door o.a. NME al geprezen werd voor hun "surrealistische art-punk waarbij elke seconde als een cliffhanger voelt". De bandnaam komt van een Studio Ghibli film vandaan; invloeden uit Azië zijn dan ook vaak terug te horen in hun muziek.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
