Eerder dit jaar kondigde Miki Berenyi van de band Lush een nieuw project aan. Dat project bleek een nieuwe band: Piroshka. Afgelopen september is de band officieel gestart. De in totaal vierkoppige band bestaat naast Berenyi uit KJ McKillop bekend van Moose, Justin Welch van Elastica en Michael Conroy van Modern English.
Piroshka maakt euforische pop met een bitterzoet randje. De teksten gaan over de brute tijden waarin we soms leven. De band heeft nog geen muziek op de markt gebracht, maar zal eind november hun live-debuut in Londen maken. Op 26 april is het onze beurt en zal Piroshka spelen in de kleine zaal.

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
