De muziek van Paul de Munnik varieert van uitgesproken pop, rock, Westcoast, New Orleans-achtige groove, soul en blues naar chanson en het theaterlied. Twintig jaar lang maakte Paul de Munnik onder andere furore als helft van het succesvolle cabaret- en muziekduo Acda & De Munnik. Inmiddels heeft hij alweer twee soloalbums uitgebracht en is een derde onderweg. ‘Vat Van Jou’ is het eerste wapenfeit van dit nieuwe album en een bewerking van Joni Mitchel’s ‘A Case of You’: “Ik probeer voor elke nieuwe cyclus liedjes ook altijd een nummer te vertalen waar je eigenlijk beter maar van af kunt blijven” aldus Paul. “Eén keer in de zoveel tijd moet de fakkel van het betere lied brandend gehouden worden”.
Paul de Munnik vertaalde, of bewerkte eerder ‘Hier Encore’ van Charles Aznavour (Gister Nog) en 'A Very Good Year' van Frank Sinatra wat de titelsong van zijn tweede album 'Goed Jaar' is. Dit album werd in 2018 uitgebracht en was de opvolger van zijn debuutalbum 'Nieuw' uit 2016.

How to get to Zonnehuis
Zonnehuis is on Zonneplein 30a in Amsterdam North. Parking is free around this monumental building. The closest ferry to Zonnehuis is the NDSM-werf ferry. From there you can take a cab or bicycle, both getting you to the venue in about 10 minutes.
