De Japanse band Osaka Monaurail is een heuse livesensatie. Met hun soulvolle grooves laat deze negenkoppige band zelfs de meest stijve harken bewegen. De deepfunkformatie rondom zanger/organist Ryo Nakata bestaat uit blazers, een superstrakke ritmesectie en twee swingende gitaristen. Denk aan James Brown en George Clinton, maar dan Japans.
