Brad Oberhofer is begonnen met muziek maken toen hij verhuisde naar Brooklyn, New York om daar te gaan studeren. En wat begon als éénmansband is nu uitgegroeid tot de volwaardige, vierkoppige band Oberhofer. De ogenschijnlijk catchy en rammelige indiepop zit zeer ingenieus in elkaar te zitten en klinkt vaak als een soort new wave versie van Vampire Weekend.
