Singer-songwriter Nadine Shah wordt door de Britse pers vaak ‘the female Nick Cave’ genoemd vanwege haar donkere liefdesverhalen en indrukwekkende stemgeluid. Shah heeft een unieke achtergrond: ze heeft een Noorse moeder en een Pakistaanse vader, en groeide op in Engeland. Voor haar debuutalbum 'Love Your Dum and Mad' werkte ze samen met producer Ben Hillier, die eerder samenwerkte met The Horrors, Depeche Mode en Blur. Nu is haar nieuwste album 'Filthy Underneath' uit, waarmee ze verder bouwt op haar kenmerkende broeierige rock-jazzgeluid. Met thema's zoals verslaving en verdriet noemt Nadine Shah dit haar meest persoonlijke album tot nu toe.

How to get to Zonnehuis

Zonnehuis is on Zonneplein 30a in Amsterdam North. Parking is free on Sunday and on other days after 7pm. The closest ferry to Zonnehuis is the NDSM-werf ferry. From there you can take a cab or bicycle, both getting you to the venue in about 10 minutes.
