Uit de vruchtbare muziekscene van Montreal (Canada) komt songwriter, multi-instrumentalist en producer Graham Van Pelt, ofwel Miracle Fortress. Zijn tweede album ‘Was I the Wave?’ komt uit op 5 september. Op dit album legt Miracle Fortress de focus meer dan voorheen op ritme, en krijgt de vernuftige indiepop lichte disco-invloeden mee. Graham van Pelt heeft uitgebreid de tijd genomen voor het tweede album. Voor debuutalbum ‘Five Roses’ (2005) werd Miracle Fortress genomineerd voor de prestigieuze Canadese Polaris Music Prize. Vorig jaar stond Miracle Fortress solo op Crossing Border, nu is hij terug met hele band.
