Mica Millar is een van de meest opvallende nieuwe stemmen binnen de Britse soul. Haar veelgeprezen debuutalbum ‘Heaven Knows’ verenigt soul, gospel en jazz en leverde haar de titel ‘Soul Act of the Year’ op bij Jazz FM. Millar bouwde haar reputatie op met uitverkochte shows in zalen als Union Chapel, Ronnie Scott’s en Albert Hall Manchester, en trad op in programma’s van BBC Radio en Qwest TV. Ook in Europa maakt ze indruk, met optredens in onder meer TivoliVredenburg, LantarenVenster en Koninklijk Theater Carré, waar ze als special guest meezong tijdens de afscheidstour van Gladys Knight. Met haar krachtige stem, klassieke soulgeluid en moderne flair groeit Mica Millar uit tot een vaste waarde in de hedendaagse soul en jazz.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
