Meschiya Lake is een Amerikaanse zangeres uit New Orleans die op een creatieve manier teruggrijpt op de ‘roaring twenties’. Samen met de band Dizzy Birds neemt Meschiya Lake een muzikale vlucht terug naar de originele New Orleans jazz. Met haar krachtige stem zwengelde ze zo eigenhandig de algehele revival van de ‘lindyhop’ dansscene aan – een mix van jazzdans, tapdansen en charleston. Meschiya Lake staat garant voor een avond swingende ragtime jazz, blues en dixieland zoals het gespeeld werd in de underground jazzclubs in de jaren dertig van de vorige eeuw.

Tijdens deze avond ook: DJ Ir. Vendermeulen (Amsterdam BeatClub) spins his favorite vintage records!

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
