Het Canadese experimentele elektronische trio Marie Davidson + L'Œil Nu geeft op zondag 24 oktober een liveshow in Paradiso. Het gezelschap, wat naast vocalist en producer Marie Davidson bestaat uit haar man, multi-instrumentalist Pierre Guerineau en componist Asaël R. Robitaille, ontmoette elkaar meer dan 10 jaar geleden in een culturele broedplaats in Montreal. Inmiddels hebben ze alle drie hun sporen ruimschoots verdiend in de experimentele elektronische muziek, zowel als soloartiest als onderdeel van verschillende bands, met releases op labels als Ninja Tune, DFA, Cititrax, Holodeck, Orange Milk en Mind Records. In 2020 besloot het drietal de krachten te bundelen als Marie Davidson + L'Œil Nu. Het resultaat van deze samenwerking genaamd 'Renegade Breakdown' zag in 2020 het levenslicht. Het album is naast techno en new wave ook sterk geïnspireerd door postpunk, 80's synthpop, filmmuziek en bands als Fleetwood Mac en Rush.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
