Na vier decennia als achtergrondzangeres te hebben samengewerkt met artiesten als Tina Turner, Nine Inch Nails, Chaka Khan en The Rolling Stones, is het voor Lisa Fischer tijd om zelf in de spotlight te stappen. Met subtiele, hartbrekende nummers weet de Amerikaanse zangeres samen met haar band Grand Baton de gevoelige snaar te raken. Met het nummer 'How Can I Ease The Pain' afkomstig van haar solo-album So Intense' won ze in 1991 een Grammy. Maar omdat ze toentertijd op tour was met Luther Vandross en The Rolling Stones zat een solotour er niet in. Die kwam er pas in 2014, waarmee het publiek voor het eerst haar organische mix van progressieve rock, psychedelische soul, klassiek en Caribische ritmes live kon horen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
