Het funk-collectief Lettuce uit Boston is al sinds 1992 actief. De bandleden ontmoetten elkaar op het Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachussets. Sindsdien vertalen ze de opgedane muziekkennis naar strakke liveoptredens, met genoeg ruimte om te improviseren en op het gevoel af te gaan. De zevenkoppige band is vooral geïnspireerd door funk, maar jazz, soul en old-school hip-hop komen net zo goed voorbij, zo ook op het album 'Elevate', welke eerder dit jaar verscheen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.
