“Real Alabama Rock ‘n Roll” zoals Lee Bains het zelf omschrijft. De muziek van Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires haalt alles uit punk, maar ook soul en powerpop, country en gospel. Lee Bains schrijft veel over de dagelijkse gebeurtenissen in de zuidelijke staten waarbij de “southern hospitality” in zijn verhalen flink de boventoon voert. “Het is het geluid van mijn thuisbasis,” zegt Bains. Het album ‘There Is A Bomb In Gilead’ verscheen in 2012 op het Alive Natural Sound label. Twee jaar later zag ‘Dereconstructed’ het licht op het legendarische label Sub Pop. Het in 2017 verschenen 'Youth Detention' betekende een persoonlijkere aanpak van de band. Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires maakt een melodieuze bak herrie, die aangenaam piept, knarst en kraakt. Een explosieve combinatie van southernrock en een stevig potje garagepunk.

How to get to Cinetol

Cinetol is on Tolstraat 182 in the South of Amsterdam. The closest tram stop is Lutmastraat. There is also a nice restaurant in the building where you can have dinner before the show. Cinetol only accepts card payment, no cash.
