In Tolhuistuin - Zonzij

In 2004 nam Marielle Woltring de artiestennaam LAVALU aan. Met haar brede mix van nu-pop, klassiek en triphop wist ze met haar muzikale alter ego een compleet eigen geluid neer te zetten. In september 2009 verscheen haar debuutalbum Hope or liquid courage. Haar 2e studioalbum, Fighting Wildfires, werd gefinancierd met behulp van crowdfundingplatform Voordekunst. Vanavond kruipt ze achter de piano en laveert ze tussen klassiek en pop. Debussy, Schubert en Satie zijn enkele namen die voorbij zullen komen naast haar eigen werk. Zij maakten hun songs toen. LAVALU nu. Intiem en dichtbij, zoals dat in de 19e eeuw door deze heren ook werd gedaan.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
