Warme folky liedjes, ingevuld met frisse gitaren, piano, subtiele elektronica, glockenspiel en strijkers. Lanterns on the Lake weet vanaf het debuutalbum 'Gracious Tide, Take Me Home' uit 2011 een groots geluid te produceren. Op het tweede album worden de harde gitaren uit de kast gehaald en klinkt de band een stuk instenser. De zachte fluisterstem wordt ingeruild voor harde vocalen. Nu zijn ze toe aan album drie. 'Beings' komt op 13 november uit. Naar eigen zeggen is het de donkerste plaat die ze tot nu toe gemaakt hebben.
