Tones
Afrobeats has not one, but two homelands: Ghana and Nigeria. This summer, we're honoring both.
Playground is the annual festival where concerts, club nights and undiluted Afrobeats culture come together in one vibrant summer celebration. Previous editions featured artists including Dope Caesar, Olakira and DTG, with each edition expanding on the last. For the 2026 edition, Lagos in NL and Tones are bringing the sound back to its roots. By joining forces, we are bringing together an international line-up of artists shaping the current wave of Afrobeats.
Other things to expect:
- African food court by Mama's Pot Kitchen
- Nigerian & Ghanaian themed game area hosted by Lugha
- African art & gallery experience

Fuse ODG
Since his breakthrough in 2013 with ‘Antenna’, Fuse ODG has built a catalogue bridging Afrobeats, dancehall and UK club culture. With tracks including ‘Azonto’, ‘Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad)’, ‘Dangerous Love’ featuring Sean Paul and ‘T.I.N.A’ with Angel, he has played a key role in bringing Afrobeats into the international mainstream. A multi-award-winning artist, Fuse has claimed the MOBO Awards for Best African Act twice, along with major honours from the African Muzik Magazine Awards and Ghana Music Awards. He also made history as the first Ghanaian to win a Grammy for his contribution to the album ‘Divide’ (2017) by Ed Sheeran.

DJ Tunez
Born in Nigeria and raised in Brooklyn, DJ Tunez has become one of the key figures in the global rise of Afrobeats, Afropop and contemporary African music. As the official DJ for Starboy Entertainment and WizKid’s touring DJ, he has brought his high-energy sets to major venues and festivals worldwide, including London’s O2 Arena, the Royal Albert Hall, Wireless Festival, Boiler Room and Barclays Center. Alongside his work behind the decks, he has produced hit records such as ‘Iskaba’ featuring Wande Coal, ‘Pami’ with WizKid, Adekunle Gold and Omah Lay and ‘Money Constant’ with WizKid, DJ Maphorisa and Mavo.

Basement - Covered by Akoma FM
Paradiso's Basement will serve as a multifunctional space featuring an African games zone, food court, African art gallery, and a hub for a variety of creative activities. Spearheaded by the AKOMAFM collective and curated in collaboration with Lugha, the Basement offers an immersive cultural experience featuring Afrofusion DJs, interactive African games, language and cultural exchanges, visual art installations, and community-led creative activities throughout the evening.
Guests can explore work from emerging artists, connect through Lugha's interactive cultural experiences, and enjoy authentic West African cuisine from Mama's Pot Kitchen, serving Jollof rice and a selection of traditional snacks.

Game Night X Lugha
The Game Night will be an interactive music and culture experience where guests test their knowledge through 'Finish the Lyrics' and 'Guess the Sample'. Songs stop unexpectedly, challenging participants to complete the lyric or identify the original sample. Alongside the music games, Lugha will host immersive language and cultural activities that celebrate African storytelling, expression, and connection.
Visual art
Throughout the evening, Paradiso's Basement will feature projected poetry, spoken word excerpts, and visual works from artists and poets who have performed at previous editions, celebrating the creativity and voices of the wider AKOMAFM community.
How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
