KestheBand uit Trinidad en Tobago groeide sinds hun oprichting in 2005 van carnavalsfavoriet uit tot ambassadeurs van het Caribische geluid op internationale podia. Onder leiding van Kees Dieffenthaller, beter bekend als Kes, mengen ze moeiteloos soca, calypso, reggae, r&b en pop. Hits als ‘Wotless’, ‘Hello’ en ‘Savannah Grass’ en samenwerkingen met Shaggy, Snoop Dogg, Wizkid en Major Lazer laten zien hoe veelzijdig ze zijn, en hoe ritme, melodie en energie in alles wat ze doen doorstromen.

Op het podium is KestheBand één groot Carabisch feest, waar samenzang, ritme en gemeenschapsgevoel centraal staan. Na uitverkochte shows in New York en Toronto en jaarlijkse Carnival-optredens in Trinidad brengen ze dit feestje in mei naar Paradiso.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
