Onder de geschilderde tinten en de oneindige prairiehemels van Saskatoon – een stad in het hart van Canada – schuilt een creatieve en bezielde geest die bewijst dat er veel meer is dan alleen grasland en graansilo's in de zogenaamde ‘fly-over states’. Indie r&b-muzikante Katie Tupper belichaamt deze geest en laat zien dat er een wereld van grensverleggende muziek leeft in deze vaak over het hoofd geziene regio. Met haar mix van soul in combinatie met introspectieve teksten bracht ze de EP's 'Towards The End' (2022) en 'Where To Find Me' (2023) uit en verzamelde ze al wereldwijd al 11 miljoen streams. Daarnaast zijn Tupper’s covers van artiesten als Hall & Oates en Jazmine Sullivan viraal gegaan op sociale media, met erkenning van supersterren als SZA en Joe Jonas.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
