De Australische Kat Frankie maakt artistieke popmuziek met een donkere, soms melancholische, ondertoon. Zelf omschrijft ze haar liedjes als “sad songs you can dance to”. Haar muziek is gelaagd, ritmisch complex en dansbaar. Sinds 2004 woont ze in Berlijn en treedt ze veel op in Duitsland. Al van jongs af aan was Kat veel bezig met zingen, op haar zeventiende heeft ze gitaar leren spelen en sinds een paar jaar werkt ze ook met een loop station en Ableton.

Al haar muzikale kwaliteiten zijn gebundeld in haar aankomende album ‘Bad Behavior’ een plaat die zowel opgewekt als heel intiem is geworden. ‘Bad Behaviour’ komt op 2 februari uit.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
