Vorig jaar was het 20 jaar geleden dat JW Roy zijn eerste album uitbracht. Hij vierde dat met een speciaal concert en tevens presentatie van zijn nieuwe album ‘A Room Full Of Strangers’. Het album varieert van uiterst breekbare songs tot dampende rock-’n-roll, southern soul, roots-rock en een lichte vleug psychedelica. Met zijn vaste band The Royal Family (bestaande uit Roel Spanjers, Cok van Vuuren, Judith Renkema en Rob Wijtman) creëert hij een brede americana sound, thematisch verdeeld in liefde en verdriet en een altijd doorgaande zoektocht naar verandering en vooruitgang.

Tijdens deze tour speelt hij met zijn band zijn nieuwe nummers, zijn oude hits en klassiekers uit het Americana-oeuvre

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
