Joy Anonymous

The London-based DJ duo Joy (Anonymous) broke into the British dance scene during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stuck at home, Henry Counsell and Louis Curran suddenly saw an opportunity out of boredom. They gathered all their music gear and cranked up the volume on London’s South Bank. Sometimes for as many as five days in a row, the two friends organized spontaneous pop-up shows where they even invited the audience to step up to the mic, and their small following soon grew into massive block parties.

After making a name for themselves with the numerous spontaneous performances, they moved on to bigger stages and recorded their sophmore album, Cult Classics. Their music captures the euphoria of life and all the emotions that come with it. By collaborating with The Blessed Madonna and performing a B2B set with Fred Again… at Alexandra Palace, the duo has had the chance to make their childhood dreams come true and showcase their infectious live performances to a new audience.
