De Canadese singer-songwriter Joshua Hyslop bracht in 2012 zijn debuutalbum 'Where The Mountain Meets The Valley' uit. Zijn nummers, vol rustige gitaarpartijen worden bezongen met een stem die direct binnenkomt. Zijn tweede plaat 'In Deepest Blue' kwam eind 2015 uit nadat hij zichzelf terugtrok om in Nashville zijn tweede plaat schreef Joshua zijn teksten in Nashville, Tennessee te schrijven. 'The Flood' werd in Nederland een enorme hit op Spotify en intussen heeft de Canadees alweer een nieuw album afgerond. 'Fall' is de nieuwe single die Hyslop op kalme, fluisterende wijze heeft ingezongen. Een meeslepend nummer dat veel goeds voorspelt voor 'Echo', het album dat eind januari zal uitkomen.

Voor Joshua Hyslop draait 'Echo' voornamelijk om empathie. De meeste nummers gaan over situaties die hij van dichtbij heeft aanschouwd. Zijn boodschap: vergeet niet dat iedereen een apart verhaal met zich meedraagt en probeer jezelf eens te verplaatsen in een ander.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
