Jazz artiest Jose James is getekend door het Brownswood Loves Jazz label van DJ Gilles Peterson. In zijn muziek combineert hij stedelijke blues met hip hop, soul, drum n bass. Het is moderne muziek met diepe wortels in de jazz traditie. "I thought singers like this didn't exist anymore, I was wrong, José James is here to remind us why we love music so much!” - Gilles Peterson.
