In de loop van twaalf jaar, vier studioalbums en twee EP’s, heeft JD McPherson een blijvende indruk achter gelaten. Doordrenkt van een diepe affiniteit met fundamentele rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly en r&b (naast andere Amerikaanse muziekstromingen uit het midden van de eeuw).

Op JD McPherson's vijfde studio album slaat de muzikant een andere weg in. Op 'Nite Owls' laat hij zien dat zijn zangkunst verder is aanscherpt in dienst van tien strakke, dynamische en keiharde rock-'n-roll nummers. Tegelijkertijd reikte hij ook dieper in zijn stilistische gereedschapskist om elementen van glam, new wave, post-punk en surfrock op te nemen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
