De Zuid-Londense Jaz Karis zingt al van jongs af aan in kerkkoren en voor iedereen die maar wilde luisteren. De gospel, soca en soul die haar ouders thuis speelde vormde haar liefde voor muziek, wat er toe leidde dat ze als jongvolwassene haar eigen plek in het Britse muzieklandschap gevonden heeft. Afgelopen september is haar langverwachte debuutalbum 'Safe Flight' uitgekomen, wat klinkt als een zwoele mix tussen r&b, afrobeat, gospel en hiphop. Waarvoor de meeste inspiratie is opgedaan tijdens haar op-en-neer-vluchten tussen LA en haar thuis.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
