Artist statement:

The ongoing pandemic has made it very difficult to travel and produce shows intended for a full capacity audience. And so, the upcoming 2 shows in Amsterdam have been canceled. Live performance is my greatest joy which makes this announcement unfortunate and inconvenient, but it is much more important that everyone is safe. I trust we will resume concerts again in the future, and when we do, I hope to see you there.

Jason Mraz staat al sinds het uitkomen van zijn debuutalbum in 2002 bekend om zijn melodische, laid-back popnummers en zijn goedgemutste songschrijverschap. De Californische singer-songwriter en tweevoudig Grammy-winnaar brak in 2008 internationaal door met de hit ‘I’m Yours’ en verscheen ook in 2014 hoog in de hitlijsten met de single ‘I Won't Give Up’. Zijn zevende en meest recente album verscheen in 2020 en is getiteld ‘Look For The Good’. Op alle twaalf nummers staat de zoektocht naar positiviteit centraal en dat levert weer een hele zonnige plaat vol goede vibes op. Dit en meer van zijn omvangrijke oeuvre brengt hij solo naar de grote zaal van Paradiso.

Special guest: Gregory Page
Gregory Page is een singer-songwriter, dichter en verhalenverteller; zijn concerten zijn dan ook een soort kruising tussen muziektheater en een folkshow te noemen. Ze bevatten liedjes, verhalen en humoristische poëzie. In 2020 bracht hij samen met Jason Mraz de optimistische folkpopsingle ‘Green Lights & Blue Skies’ uit.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
