De Londense Jasmine Jethwa maakt swingende, folk getinte akoestische popliedjes met een volle stem die wemelt van de emotie. De zangeres haalt haar inspiratie voor haar muziek overal vandaan, zo noemt ze onder meer Bon Iver, Fontaines D.C., maar ook de soundtracks van Bollywoodfilms als haar grote inspiratiebronnen. In 2020 bracht Jasmine haar debuut-EP 'Hurricane' uit, die werd toegejuicht door onder meer BBC Introducing, Clash en The Independent. De plaat werd onder meer beschreven als vlot en teder. Haar tweede EP 'Same Streets But I Don't See You Around' is net uit en gaat over de gevolgen van liefdesverdriet. De melancholie is zeker aanwezig, maar er heerst vooral ook een hoopvolle sfeer op deze folky pop.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
