James Marriott is een Engelse YouTuber en muzikant die aanvankelijk bekend werd met zijn geestige, op commentaar gebaseerde video's over trending events. In 2020 begon hij muziek te maken, naar eigen zeggen geïnspireerd door de muziek van onder andere The Strokes, The 1975 en Phoebe Bridgers. Zijn eerste EP 'No Left Brain' werd internationaal goed ontvangen, maar met zijn vervolgplaat 'Bitter Tongues' (2022) vond hij gehoor bij een nog breder publiek, onder meer met het nummer 'Car Lights', wat een culthit werd in de queer-gemeenschap. Hij deelde in korte tijd al het podium met artiesten als Jake Bugg en Lewis Capaldi. Dit voorjaar geeft hij voor het eerst een concert in Nederland in Tolhuistuin.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
