Hoodie Allen gaf zijn marketingbaan bij Google op om zich volledig op de hiphop storten. En met succes: Vooral op Amerikaanse universiteiten slaan zijn teksten over roem, vrouwen en feesten enorm aan. Zeker met zijn gezonde dosis college humor, de nodige zelfspot natuurlijk zijn frisse mix van pop en rap. Op zijn vele mixtapes, EP's en albums werkte Hoodie Allen onder andere samen met Ed Sheeran en Alex Wiley. Op het podium staat Hoodie Allen vooral bekend om zijn wilde shows met veel interactie met het publiek.
