Holy Wave

They may not be the first band with members who have known each other since childhood, but they’ve certainly stood the test of time. Holy Wave, the psychedelic rock and dream-pop group from Texas, has been active for seventeen years. While they initially rooted their sound in psychedelic pop, they’ve gradually begun experimenting with trippy instrumentation and refined melodies. Their current sound, as heard on the album ‘i’m DADA’, takes you through adventurous song structures while retaining influences from classic psychedelia, blended with modern, experimental pop. It’s impressive how they manage to captivate both underground and mainstream audiences alike. Their DIY roots remain palpable for a wide audience.
