The Gun Club was een Amerikaanse post-punk/bluesband uit Los Angeles, die bestond van 1980 tot 1996. De spilfiguur was de zanger-gitarist Jeffrey Lee Pierce. The Gun Club was een belangrijke muzikale invloed voor heel wat bands en muzikanten. Jack White (van The White Stripes) heeft ooit gezegd: "'Sex Beat', 'She's Like Heroin to Me', and 'For the Love of Ivy'...why are these songs not taught in schools?"
