Singer-songwriter Greg Holden lanceerde eigenhandig zijn carrière door clips van zijn gevoelige folkpopnummers op You Tube te posten. Ze werden zo’n hit dat de in Schotland geboren, maar in Londen opgegroeide jongeman zijn boeltje verkocht, zijn gitaar inpakte en vertrok naar New York. Daar schreef hij, met Bob Dylan als inspiratiebron, nummers met diepzinnige teksten op meeslepende muziek, wel wat vergelijkbaar met de lyrische stijl van bijvoorbeeld Damien Rice.
