De uit Brooklyn afkomstige singer-songwriter Grace Ives maakt popmuziek die net zo eigenzinnig als aanstekelijk is. Ze begon haar carrière door beats te maken op een Roland MC-505 groovebox, wat resulteerde in haar debuut 2nd. Haar geluid balanceert tussen het nerveuze en het relaxte, waarbij ze complexe emoties verpakt in korte, krachtige popsongs die zelden de drie minuten aantikken.

Girlfriend Tour
Na haar album Janky Star, dat door Pitchfork werd bekroond met het 'Best New Music' label, is Ives terug met de Girlfriend Tour. Deze tour markeert een nieuwe fase waarin ze haar inventieve benadering van alternatieve pop verder heeft aangescherpt. Met haar nieuwe muziek laat ze een zelfverzekerder geluid horen dat live ongetwijfeld voor vuurwerk gaat zorgen in de bovenzaal.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
