Glen Hansard is vooral bekend als frontman van The Frames en The Swell Season, maar op dit moment is zijn solowerk zijn grootste bezigheid. ‘Rhythm And Repose’ is de titel van het eerste soloalbum, dat werd opgenomen in New York, waar Hansard een korte tijd woonde. Samen met producer Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The National, Antony and the Johnsons) en Patrick Dillett (David Byrne, Laurie Anderson) werd het album tot stand gebracht. ‘Rhythm And Repose’ is de eerste release van Hansard sinds Stric Joy uit 2009 van The Swell Season.
