De Spaans-Britse singer-songwriter Gizmo Varillas komt naar Tolhuistuin met zijn grootste tour tot nu toe. Zijn nieuwe album 'The World in Colour' is een warme, persoonlijke plaat vol Latijns-Amerikaanse ritmes, folky melodieën en lichte indiepop. Geboren in Spanje en opgegroeid in Londen brengt Varillas een rijk palet aan invloeden samen tot iets dat tegelijk vertrouwd en volstrekt eigen klinkt. Denk aan Manu Chao, Paul Simon of Devendra Banhart, maar dan met een moderne twist en een zachte, zonnige stem. Zijn aanstekelijke geluid maakt zijn liveoptredens tot een feest voor wie houdt van wereldse grooves en een avond vol dans en plezier.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
