Gareth, an artist from Castlederg, Northern Ireland, combines traditional country with the rich sounds of Irish folk. He grew up surrounded by the records of George Jones and Hank Williams Jr., which he used to play with his grandfather as a child, and that love for the genre has never left him. You may know him from his cover of Noah Kahan’s ‘Stick Season’, which has been streamed tens of millions of times, but it is his own material that has garnered critical acclaim. 2025 was a breakthrough year for the singer-songwriter: he signed with BMG, UTA and Virgin Music Group, toured Canada and the US, and released his second EP, ‘Steal Your Thunder’. This autumn, he’ll be heading to Amsterdam with brand-new music from his second album, ‘Bluebird’, which is due out on 24 October.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein
