We’re back with our DJ open call — and this time, it’s all about the Funk! Alongside two seasoned SDF legends — Leroy Rey and DJ Rob Manga — we’re opening up the decks to some fresh new names ready to bring that fire.

Leroy Rey

Since 1992, Leroy Rey has been captivating audiences and leaving an imprint on the club scene, including Summer Dance Forever! Drawing from his Indonesian and Dutch heritage, he weaves diverse influences into a career founded on a deep love for records and an unquenchable thirst for musical knowledge. Co-founder of Wicked Wax and deeply involved with Steppin’ Leroy seamlessly blends genres, connecting the deep rhythms of House, Hip Hop, Funk, and the stirring melodies of Soul. With over 30 years of DJ experience, one thing remains constant: Leroy’s passion for music is as vibrant as ever.

Rob Manga

Rob Manga is an Amsterdam based DJ, music producer, spinning extensively in Asia, Europe, and USA. He made his debut on the first HipHop/R&B-Party in The Netherlands - Bassline in the RoXY and received great acclaim ever since. He initiated LEGENDS at Paradiso: the best Soul-Party of that time and he played with Theo Parrish, Kenny Dope and Lefto Early Bird - just to name a few.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
