Met de zangkunsten van Helen Mengestu en de swingende band met saxofoons en groovy ritmes om haar heen, weet Entoto Band de Ethiopische funk uit de jaren '60 een nieuw leven in te blazen. In januari 2023 verschijnt het titelloze debuut album op Guitar Globetrotter Recordings.

Ticket to the Tropics

Ticket to the Tropics staat voor dansmuziek uit alle werelddelen, oud en nieuw, van samba tot cumbia en van kaseko tot kuduro. Hier stoffen we toffe platen af, duiken we nieuwe pareltjes op en houden we bij welke concerten je niet mag missen.

Met de Ticket to the Tropics-pas kun je voor een vaste prijs jaarlijks een aantal geselecteerde concerten in dit genre bezoeken. De pas gaf de afgelopen drie jaar toegang tot onder meer concerten van Kokoko!, Songhoy Blues, Fatoumata Diawara, Mbongwana Star, Gallowstreet, Felabration met Jungle by Night, Dengue Dengue Dengue, en vele anderen.

Hoe werkt het?
Pashouders moeten een vrijkaart bestellen via een speciale ticketlink die ze per e-mail ontvangen, na activatie van de pas. Entree is alleen op vertoon van vrijkaart EN de fysieke Ticket to the Tropics-pas 2023. Voor sommige programma's is een beperkt aantal vrijkaarten beschikbaar, dus wees er snel bij.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
