In 2012 liet Durand Jones hometown Louisiana achter zich en vertrok naar Indiana. Daar ontmoette hij drummer Aaron Frazer, gitarist Blake Rhein, bassist Kyle Houpt en organist Justin Hubler. ‘Durand Jones & The Indications’ werd de naam van het gezelschap en de rest is geschiedenis. Samen gingen ze op zoek naar de herkomst van allerlei hiphop samples en raakten geïnspireerd door soul. Inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een ware retrosoul-act, kwam dit jaar het tweede album 'American Love Call' uit, een zwoeler album welke nog ambitieuzer en artistieker wordt bevonden dan haar voorganger.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
